The Surgery Center at Southwoods is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our specialized facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and cooperative relationships with the area's finest healthcare professionals have enabled the Surgery Center to produce significant healthcare advantages to over 100,000 patients from our community.

In a continuing effort to provide our patients, families, physicians, and employees the best experience possible, a 20,000-square foot-expansion of the Center's physical plant was undertaken in 2004. Patient and family waiting areas were redesigned, pre-operative and post-operative areas were enlarged and clinical capacity was increased.
