Things to Know Before Your Procedure

Adults

DO perform your normal morning routine such as showering and brushing your teeth.
DO wear casual, loose-fitting clothing, such as a sweat suit, which can be hung or folded for storage.
DO arrange for a responsible adult to drive you to the Center and home after the procedure and stay with you at home for 24 hours. A family waiting room is available for companions and relatives.
DO bring your insurance card and any medications you may be taking.
DO NOT eat or drink anything after midnight (including gum) the night before your surgery unless given specific instructions by the pre-op nurse during the pre-op interview.
DO NOT bring valuables or wear jewelry (Please remove all items involved with body piercing.).
DO NOT bring gowns, robes, or slippers. These items will be provided.
DO NOT smoke immediately before (or after) anesthesia.
