Parents will be reunited with their child in the recovery area after their procedure.

Pain Management
Promoting patient comfort is a priority at the Surgery Center at Southwoods. Ask your physician to inform you of what to expect regarding pain and pain management.

You can expect the staff at the Center to ask you frequently about your pain level throughout your stay. At the first sign of pain, let a staff member know – don't wait! The staff will make every effort to alleviate the pain quickly with medications or comfort measures.

We will attempt to answer all of your questions and concerns. You can expect to receive information concerning continuation of pain management at home. Remember, the patient is the authority on his/her level of pain. As the patient, you are the most important part of the pain management plan.
